Shrimad Upendra Teertha Swamiji (II)
The sudden demised of Shrimad Yadavendra Theertha Swamiji III prompted Shrimad Madhavendra Theertha Swamiji to take another Shishya. Thus Shrimad Upendra Teertha Swamiji (II) was taken as the tenth Swamiji.
During the time of Shrimad Upendra there was a litigation. Some of the Matha property was in the possession of the person named Jog Puri. In the year 1782 with no way at sight the Swamiji had to file a suit in the Adalat. Seven years later Swamiji won the case and the property went back to the Matha.
He attained Maha Samadhi on December 2, 1791 in Banaras.
